Our Top Five Laundry Hacks for Tidy Professionals
Fed up of shoes banging in the dryer?
Tie the laces together at the very end, and put the shoes in the dryer with the knot left outside. Shut the door. Turn the dryer on. Voila.
Say goodbye to greasy clothing
Rub a piece of chalk back and forth over the grease, and then leave to sit for a few hours. The chalk will absorb the grease! Follow your normal laundry routine for after.
Keep your colors bright and your whites white.
Add 1/2 cup of salt to the wash cycle to help set new colors, and help brighten up those that have started to fade.
Your towels will always be soft and fluffy
Put your towels through two cycles. The first cycle should be hot water with one cup of white vinegar. Then, do a second load with hot water and one cup of baking soda. Boom. Fluffy towels.
DIY Fabric Softener
Combine 1 liter of white vinegar and 10 drops of your favorite essential oil. Use about one cup of this solution for every wash you do. Your clothes will smell beautiful and be super soft.
