It’s that time of year again…Spring Break! Though it may be very exciting, it can also be stressful! Not only do we have to worry about fitting into our bathing suits in the middle of the winter, but we also have to worry about packing. Normally Spring break sneaks up on us quickly and catches us completely off guard. This year we want you to be prepared so that you can have the most carefree Spring Break. We have compiled a list of our top 8 tips for organized packing.

1. Organize a list

You don’t go into battle without a plan, so why would you go start packing without a list?! Start writing down everything you and your family members will need right now! By the time you have to actually start packing you will be prepared and can just throw everything into bags. Organize your lists by categories, so it will be easier to gather everything you need to pack.

Here is another option for a list.

2. Road Trip Essentials

Are you and the family road tripping somewhere? If so, we highly recommend you be prepared for every event that could happen. Making a box that permanently stays in your car like this will not only save you while you are on this trip, but throughout the rest of the normal carpool line school years. It includes hand sanitizer, toilet paper, tissue paper, baby wipes, odor eliminator, bandages and some emergency snacks. You won't regret making this!

3. Folding correctly

Folding your clothing correctly makes a world of difference when you are packing. The tighter you fold the more outfits you can fit (YAY!). We think this diagram is genius.

4. Where to put all of your cords

These can be such a hassle to deal with so the idea pictured below is perfect. Put all of your cords, chargers, etc., in a sunglass or pencil holder so they will stay together in one place.

5. What to do with your jewelry?

This is always a concern for most women. Place your jewelry in Press N’ Seal and it will all say together, so it doesn’t go missing or get tangled up.

6. Put your clothing in plastic bags

This may sound weird but let us explain first. You can organize your clothing by outfits and then put them into plastic bags. When you go to take out your outfit for the day, the rest of the outfits stay in place in your suitcase. This makes for a much more organized suitcase and a less stressful experience, especially if you have small children.

7. Use a handyman box

Put all of your cosmetics and beauty supplies in a handy man box like the one pictured below. You can pre-pack it with all of your overnight essentials and every time you are running late just pull it out of the closet, throw it in your bag and you are good to go. It is a great, time saving investment.

8. Plan in advance

Last but not least, if you have the chance, start packing a few days before your trip instead of the morning of. We promise that if it's at all possible for you to do this, it will make for a much more relaxed experience. That way the day you are leaving for your trip you can just put your suitcases in the car and go.
